Harris Teller 515 Tourte Mute Violin

Tourte-Style Violin Mute

Always On Hand. Easy to Use. Ready When the Music Calls for It.

When your music says con sordino, you need a mute you can put on in seconds. The Tourte-style violin mute is the go-to choice for orchestra students and players because it stays on your instrument at all times, ready to slide into place whenever you need a softer, warmer sound.

It's also a great practice tool, letting you take some of the edge off your volume during late-night or apartment practice sessions.

Stays on Your Instrument

This classic two-hole rubber mute threads onto the strings between the bridge and the tailpiece. When you don't need it, it rests near the tailpiece, out of the way. When the music calls for it, simply slide it up against the bridge to mute your tone, then slide it back down when you're done. No digging through your case, and no risk of losing it in the middle of rehearsal.

The soft rubber construction is gentle on your bridge and finish, and won't scratch or damage your instrument.
