Yamaha FG800M Solid Top Acoustic Guitar, Matte Finish

Yamaha FG800M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar - Natural Matte

Solid Spruce Top. Big Sound. Unbeatable Value.

The Yamaha FG800M is one of the best-selling solid-top acoustic guitars in the world, and for good reason. It pairs a solid spruce top with Yamaha's scalloped bracing for a louder, fuller sound in the lows and mids than you'd expect at this price. The FG800M has an ultra-thin matte finish that lets the top resonate freely and gives the neck a smooth, natural feel.

It's a guitar that beginners can grow into for years and that experienced players happily keep around as a go-to strummer.

A Solid Top Makes the Difference

A solid spruce top vibrates more freely than laminate, so the guitar sounds rich and open on day one and keeps getting better as the wood ages. Yamaha's engineers used acoustic analysis and simulation to design the bracing, giving the 800 Series a strong, balanced voice.

Built to Play

The nato/okoume back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and die-cast tuners make this a dependable, easy-playing guitar that holds its tuning. The thin matte finish gives it a natural, open feel.
