Vandoren CM344 B45 Bass Clarinet Mouthpiece

Vandoren CM344 B45 Traditional Bass Clarinet Mouthpiece

The Vandoren B45 is one of the most popular bass clarinet mouthpieces in the world, and for good reason. It has the same rich sound qualities as the well-known B44, but with a larger tip opening that makes it noticeably more responsive and free-blowing. Its thin tip rail makes it easy to play, while its medium-long facing delivers clear articulation, stable intonation, and a wide palette of tone colors. It's an excellent choice for advancing students, band and orchestra players, and professionals who want a bass clarinet mouthpiece that speaks quickly and sounds great in any setting.

Why Bass Clarinetists Choose the B45

If you want a bass clarinet mouthpiece that responds the moment you play, the B45 delivers. Its more open tip and easy-blowing design help you produce a full, resonant sound with less effort, while still giving you the control you need for clean attacks and accurate pitch. Players who find the B44 a little too resistant often find the B45 to be the perfect fit. Pair it with your favorite Vandoren bass clarinet reeds and a quality ligature to complete your setup.
